I ran out of steel for the front 2 panels and may not have enough artificial whale bone. Going to be veeery interesting!

If you come up we'll definitely have to have a blog meet-up!Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11736341027717526617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3162793390465270762.post-82653135280743509842012-02-25T21:29:41.158-05:002012-02-25T21:29:41.158-05:00Oh my gosh! I'm sure you'll make it...although the mind boggles at how you'll manage to finish AND sleep between now & then. ha ha! Make sure and let us know how it goes.

And Thanks for the great suggestion, Patriot's Day/Battle Road huh, I'll have to look into that. New England was already on my travel to-do list, so that narrows it down considerably.(for a first trip at least) Thanks!Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12297640272211338801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3162793390465270762.post-41599335800678527592012-02-24T21:05:03.444-05:002012-02-24T21:05:03.444-05:00You're also cracking the whip for me, too! I was on such a roll (and did I mentioned I need these stays to finish my silk gown, and I need to wear said silk gown next weekend? I'm screwed.). I still have 2 more panels to do after I finish the left side combined 1+2, but still. I want to cry!

I would highly recommend that you come out to New England if you ever can! There's loads to do and see, and we have people attend The Hive from far away as VA ... New England is definitely at the forefront of research (even more so than CW, in my opinion), and even if you jsut came out to watch the Patriot's Day/Battle Road, you would learn a whole lot and see how things are done. Definitely check it out!Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11736341027717526617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3162793390465270762.post-39235347675163894622012-02-23T18:49:14.010-05:002012-02-23T18:49:14.010-05:00I live in eastern Ohio, close to Wheeling, WV (whi...I live in eastern Ohio, close to Wheeling, WV (which is near Pittsburgh,PA if you've never heard of Wheeling. ha ha) Wheeling does have one event every year in September, called Fort Henry Days, I'm sure I'll go to that, but it's not really the kind of experience I think I was looking for...at least the day I was there (as a public visitor).

Every other question I can think to ask you (and there are many) will make this an extremely long comment so I shall refrain. ha ha!

That is so great that you're still excited more than a month after your big night! Very cool! & making me more anxious!

Now, back to sewing boning channels for me!...*insert the sound of a whip cracking here* ha ha!Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12297640272211338801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3162793390465270762.post-1709284413595005432012-02-23T17:57:05.294-05:002012-02-23T17:57:05.294-05:00I'm still, a month+ later, feeling so awesome ...I'm still, a month+ later, feeling so awesome about it! I don't know anyone who does it yet so I'm still a bit nervous & haven't tracked down a first event yet. I am in the middle of making my first full outfit, (shift's done, one petticoat done, just started on my stays!!!...lots left to do after that! ha ha!)
It sounds like you're having a great time and have a great group of people in it with you. It's nice to hear the perspective of someone else who's somewhat new it.Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12297640272211338801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3162793390465270762.post-60378103854045285092012-01-19T20:11:30.860-05:002012-01-19T20:11:30.860-05:00I'm so glad you feel you've really become ...I'm so glad you feel you've really become a reenactor!
